How to Bless Your Children

May the Lord grant you fullness of years, so that you may reap the harvest of a good life, and after you have served him with loyalty in his kingdom on earth, may he take you up into his eternal dominions in heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, his Son, who lives and reigns with him in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.​ 10 For a child: O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, begotten in eternity, you willed to be born in time. You love the innocence of childhood, and lovingly embraced and blessed the little children who were brought to you. Anticipate the needs of this child (these children) with your tender blessings, and grant that no evil may corrupt his (her, their) mind(s), but that, advancing in age, in wisdom, and in grace, he (she, they) may live so as to please you always. You who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. May the blessing of almighty God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, descend upon you and remain for ever. Amen.​ 11 For a home: O Lord God almighty, bless this house. In it may there be health, chastity, victory over sin, strength, humility, goodness of heart and gentleness, full observance of your law and gratefulness to God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And may this blessing remain upon this house and upon those who live here, now and for ever and ever. Amen.​ 12 9
