Let the Children Come is written to help church leaders own and implement a biblical, next generation discipleship vision in their churches and to equip the saints to do so as well. As elders and church leaders we know how critical it is to have a vibrant, next generation discipleship culture in our churches—we look at the nursery, preschool, elementary aged and youth as an integral part of our churches now and in the future. We also know how important it is to the Lord that we point the next generation to Him (Deuteronomy 6, Psalm 78 and Titus 2). Unfortunately, we often fail to own this next generation discipleship vision ourselves, and we don’t help more of the congregation under our care to own that vision either. May the Lord help us to shepherd the flock in our care for this critical area of discipleship!

Andy Koesters has loved pointing children, youth and families to Jesus for over thirty years. He currently serves as Pastor to Churches and Families with the ministry FamiliesAlive, where he equips and encourages God’s people to embrace the biblical vision of discipling the next generation. He and his beautiful bride Jodi live in Greensboro, NC and they have loved the gift of pouring into their six children: Titus, Sam, Mara, Lily, Drew and Cohen.
