Asking the Right Questions

Questions are divided into three levels, each level progressively harder. Choose the level of question that best suits your child. Questions correspond to one another, so if you have multiple children of different levels, you can easily customize the question-asking.

Level 1

1. The very first Commandment that God gave to His people is, “I am the ____ your God. You shall have no other gods before me.”

2. When Adam and Eve sinned, were they still able to walk with the LORD the way they had before?

No.

3. After they had sinned, Adam and Eve hid from God, but what did God do? Did He let them keep hiding or did He come looking for them?

 He came looking for them.

4. How did God feel about Adam and Eve? Did He love them still?

Yes. That’s why He came looking for them even though He already knew where they were!

5. God also loved His people, the Israelites. They were slaves in Egypt. Were they happy there?

No.

6. God called to a shepherd named Moses. What was the LORD coming to him as?

A burning bush.

7. Who did God want Moses to bring out of Egypt?

His people, the Israelites.

8. The LORD told Moses that His name was I AM. Does this mean that He is nice or that He will always be the God of His people?

That He will always be the God of His people.

9. What other name does God want us to call Him forever – the LORD or Dad?

The LORD.

10. Are there any other gods but our God?

No, He is the One True God.
